Configuring Definitions

  • Categories: Every definition belongs to a Category (see Categories) which allow definitions to be grouped in the user interface and for reporting/analytics (see Analytics).
  • Pre-defined Terms: Each definition can be configured to allow users to select terms from a pre-defined list (see Taxonomy) or to allow users to enter any text value.
  • Date Information: Definitions can be configured to allow users to provide associated date information with the item they’re recording; for example, the date a qualification was gained and/or a date the certification needs to be renewed.
  • Endorsements: A definition can be configured to allow people to endorse another person for an item they have tagged themselves with in that definition.
  • Ratings: a definition can have a pre-defined (see Taxonomy) rating scale associated with it allowing a person to tell others how proficient they are in a specific area or how long they’ve been working in that area.
